Announcement: Talobeeg Foundation Joins the USAID Somalia – Bar ama Baro Project
We are thrilled to announce that the Talobeeg Foundation has been awarded a contract to implement key components of the USAID Somalia – Bar ama Baro Project (Teach or Learn: Accelerated Basic Education Project). This significant initiative will take place in the Jubbaland State of Somalia, specifically targeting the Kismayo and Bardhere districts.
As part of this project, the Talobeeg Foundation will be responsible for:
- Recreational Activities: Organizing inter and intra-school sports tournaments to foster teamwork, physical activity, and community spirit among the youth.
- Peace and Climate Awareness Youth Events: Engaging young people in activities that raise awareness about peace, community cohesion and climate change and promote environmentally responsible behaviors.
- Parent Outreach Messaging: Developing and disseminating messages that encourage parental involvement and support in their children’s education and well-being.
These activities aim to create a positive impact by enhancing peace, educational opportunities, promoting climate awareness, and strengthening community bonds.
We look forward to working closely with the communities in Kismayo and Bardhere to ensure the success of this project and to contribute to the overall goals of the Bar ama Baro Project. Together, we can achieve significant advancements in education, children’s rights, peace, environmental awareness, and community cohesion.
