Talobeeg Foundation is hosting Joint Meeting for all partners involved in the Kaabe Youth Empowerment Project, with participants arriving from Finland and Somalia. This project is being implemented in three districts of Somalia—Galkaio, Beletweyne, and Afgoe—by Talobeeg Foundation, African Solution, and Shabelle Foundation, respectively. Each of these partners collaborates closely with an organization based in Finland. Talobeeg Foundation with Puntland Community ry in Espoo, Shabelle Foundation with Suomen Eta Afrikan Tuki ry, and African Solution with Lieksan Somali Perhyhdistys ry.
The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland through the Finnish Somali Network (FSN) to address high youth unemployment and the lack of technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Somalia.
Other stakeholders, including the FSN program coordinator, are participating in the meeting virtually. The coordinator made her introductory remarks on the first day, followed by presentations and discussions on the meeting agenda.
