Water Trucking Response: Emergency Water Supply for Vulnerable Communities in Baidoa, Southwest State, Somalia
Talobeeg Foundation continues its humanitarian mission to support vulnerable communities affected by water shortages in Baidoa, Southwest State of Somalia. Through our Water Trucking Response, our team delivered clean and safe drinking water to families living in the outskirts of Baidoa, where access to reliable water sources remains a daily struggle. Many households in these communities, especially those living in IDP) camps, face severe water scarcity. Women and children often walk long distances in search of water, while elderly and vulnerable individuals struggle to access safe supplies.
To address this urgent need, Talobeeg Foundation mobilized emergency water trucking services, ensuring that families have sufficient water for drinking, cooking, and essential daily needs.
Communities Reached
The water delivery targeted vulnerable households in Isha Baidoa and Howlwadaag villages including IDP camps such as:
- Kaamka Santuur
- Gala Arow
- Gerdiile
- Wayamo Gubey 1 IDP Camp
- Wayamo Gubey 2 IDP Camp
Through this intervention, approximately 800 people have gained access to clean water, reducing immediate health risks and improving daily living conditions.
Beyond Emergency Response
While emergency water trucking provides immediate relief, Talobeeg Foundation recognizes that long-term solutions are essential.
